Former EFCC chairman Bawa released from detention
Abdurasheed Bawa, the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been released from custody.
Remember On June 14, 2023, Bawa was taken into custody by the Department of State Service (DSS), shortly after President Bola Tinubu had suspended him from his position as Chairman of the EFCC due to allegations of misusing his position.
On Wednesday night, Bawa was released from the secret police's national headquarters in Abuja.
Since his arrest and confinement, the Secret Police have not made any public accusations against him or revealed the details of his offence.
