Hiqma, the fourth wife of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, was formally taken in a private ceremony on Saturday in Abuja.  

Close friends and family attended the small wedding, which signaled the start of a new and important chapter in the former governor's life.  

In an Instagram post welcoming the new bride and thanking God, Bello's third wife, Hafiza Yahaya Bello, confirmed the marriage.

“Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin,” she wrote.

From 2016 to 2023, Bello, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was the governor of Kogi State.  

While serving as Nigeria's youngest sitting governor at the time, he rose to national fame.  

Bello was previously married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello before he married Hiqma.
