Former Imo Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha Has Been Arraigned For Fraud
A federal high court in Abuja has ordered the detention of former Imo governor Senator Rochas Okorocha in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) pending a decision on his request for bail. An ally to the ex-governor and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress Anyim Nyerere Chinenye will also join Okorocha in custody. Judge Inyang Ekwo issued the order Monday after indicting Okorocha, Chinenye and five companies on 17 counts of money laundering charges filed by the EFCC. The hearing if the bail applications by Okorocha and Chinenye was adjourned till Tuesday by Justice Ekwo. The five companies are: Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited and Legend World Concepts Limited.
