Former Nigerian ambassador, Yemi Farounbi, says Buhari is a punishment to Nigeria
Yemi Farounbi, a former Nigerian ambassador to the Philippines, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari is Nigeria's retribution from God.
Veteran broadcast journalist Farounbi added that he was not surprised by what is taking place because Nigerians were forewarned about President Buhari's history during the 2014–2015 presidential campaign.
Farounbi, who made these comments while participating in a live weekly radio program in Ibadan, claimed that the president's arrest of politicians was one of his bad habits while serving as military head of state.
According to him, "In 2014/2015, when we were running for office, Nigerians were told about the past of Muhammadu Buhari and how he imprisoned many leaders, including Chief Obafemi Awolowo, before they opted to accept the campaign of one chance.
God is an amazing being. Nigerians deserve these consequences because of their terrible conduct, so he chose to use Buhari to execute them.
He continued to express optimism for a better Nigeria while accusing corrupt politicians of not wanting to see a better Nigeria.
But according to Ambassador Farounbi, Buhari may still improve his reputation by becoming Nigeria's best leader if he honestly divides the nation into six geographical regions.
He claimed that by doing this, the nation's economy and political landscape will be strengthened.
