FRSC warns Travellers to avoid Ekiti route

The Akure-Ondo-Ife-Ibadan or Lagos-Ibadan-Ife-Ondo-Ore-Benin routes are recommended for motorists passing via Ondo State from Abuja, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

This was stated in a statement made on Tuesday in Abuja by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Mr. Bisi Kazeem, on behalf of the Acting Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dauda Biu.

Biu also suggested taking the same path for anyone travelling from the country's western region through the State to the north.

He claimed that the Igbara-Oke-Ilara-Mokin route is currently completely closed, making the advisory imperative.

“However, in the interim, operatives, as well as logistics, have been adequately deployed to ensure speedy removal of the obstructions on that route for ease of movement.
