Fubara approves N100,000 Christmas bonus for Rivers civil servants
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has authorised the payment of N100,000 as a Christmas bonus to all civil servants.
This was revealed in a statement made in Port Harcourt by Warisenibo Johnson, Commissioner of Information and Communications.
In the meantime, the state's political predicament has led the Nigeria Labour Congress, or NLC, to become more spiritual. The Union is hoping that there won't be any malicious plot against the governor.
Regarding Fubara's Christmas bonus, Commissioner Johnson stated that the governor had directed that all civil servants receive the bonus immediately in order to provide them with a wonderful holiday season.
He said: “Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved N100,000 as Christmas bonus for the State’s civil servants.
“Governor Fubara gave the approval on Tuesday for immediate implementation to enable the civil servants to have a wonderful yuletide celebration.â€
