Ganduje Support Group Claims Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is Tinubu's running mate

 There have been inklings that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has selected Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the preferred candidate for the party's presidential nominee, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 presidential election. This revelation was included in a press statement issued by Ganduje Support Group Director-General Suleiman Magaji and made available to journalists in Abuja. The statement revealed that the APC National Working Committee had narrowed the election of Tinubu's running mate to the incumbent governor of Kano State based on loyalty, dedication and infrastructural development of his state.

However, the statement acknowledges that the issue of religion played an eloquent role during the selection process, but noted that Nigerians are more interested in developmental steps than religious matters. While praising the party's National Working Committee for the election so far, the group called on party loyalists to support the duo so the party can emerge victorious in the presidential election. "It is time we close ranks to ensure victory for all of our candidates from the ward level to the presidency," the statement added.
