Gov Abiodun kicks off sales of subsidised FG rice
On Thursday, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun announced that his administration will soon start introducing the sale of other subsidised products throughout the state's twenty local government areas. He also began the sale of rice in the state.
Governor Abiodun added that food products including garri, rice, and beans will be offered at heavily subsidised prices and that the scheme's deployment throughout the state would help expand its reach.
At the official flag-off ceremony of the Federal Government's subsidised rice sales to state citizens, which took place at the Governor's Office Arcade Ground in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Governor disclosed this.
“We will soon be implementing our own version of this scheme from each local government, meaning we will implement this across the twenty local government areas of the state to deepen the reach into our grassroots.
“We will be selling food items like garri, rice, and beans at heavily subsidised prices,” he said.
