Gov Okpebolo promises N2 billion grant, two buses for Edo university
On Monday, Edo State Governor Okpebholo transferred Mr. Felix Akhabue, his Commissioner for Works, to the Ministry of Water Resources.
While a new commissioner was being deployed to the Ministry of Works, he asked the permanent secretary to take over.
The instruction went into force immediately, according to a statement from Musa Ikhilor, the secretary to the Edo State Government.
A N2 billion grant for infrastructure development has been promised by Governor Okpebholo to the administration of Edo State University, Iyahmo.
He commended Prof. Victor Adetimirin, the Vice Chancellor, for his selflessness and dedication to the institution's advancement.
Additionally, he raised the institution's monthly subsidy from N100 million to N250 million.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Peter Omoh Dunia Fitness Center at Edo State University in Iyamho and the opening of the Ehi Aganmonmen Business Administration E-Library, the governor made the pledge.
He declared that the education sector would be repositioned by his administration.
