Gunmen abduct, kill retired immigration officer in Nasarawa
Jacob Agada, a retired immigration officer, was shot and killed by gunmen in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
According to sources, the unfortunate event happened Thursday night at Ombi 2, Lafia.
According to the source, Mr. Agada was abducted by the thugs as he made his way home around 9 p.m., and his lifeless body was later found nearby.
Agada was jumped and carried away by the thugs who were hiding not far from his gate, he said, expressing regret over the event.
He explained that the retired police resided close to a well-known hotel in the neighbourhood.
The source requested prayers to put an end to the problem, alleging a recent increase in the spate of insecurity in the Ombi II, Danka, and Kwandare axis of the state.
Ramhan Nansel, the public relations officer for the Nasarawa State Police, verified the occurrence.
