Gunmen abduct medical doctor in Delta private clinic

A doctor has been kidnapped by gunmen in Delta State's Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West local government area. 

According to DAILY POST, Donatus Nwasor, the doctor, was kidnapped from his clinic after work. 

When his auxiliary nurse at the clinic witnessed her employer being dragged away with force, she alerted the alarm.

“As the doctor entered his car after closing around 8 pm and switched on the ignition, a call came.

“While the engine was on, he stepped out to answer the phone call. Suddenly, about five men came out of a nearby bush and hit him down, dragged him into his car and drove away.

“One of the abductors’ rubber sandals fell off at the clinic premises, and they drove towards the Ugiliamai/Iselegu area,” the nurse said.

Later, the doctor's vehicle was discovered abandoned close to Iselegu Junction on the Asaba motorway.

“A group of Anti-Cult personnel in Utagba-Uno got there around 9:10 pm and found a car with all the doors wide open without anyone inside.

“It was confirmed that it was Dr Nwasor’s car,” a source stated.

An escape track near Obi-Ukpo in Onicha-Ukwuani was found as a result of efforts to track down the kidnappers. 

According to the source, the Nigeria Police Force, Kwale Division, has been notified of the situation, and Nwasor's family and other relevant parties have also been notified.
