Gunmen attack Lagos estate, kill three
On Wednesday morning, unidentified gunmen opened fire, killing three people in the Ipaja neighbourhood of Lagos State's 41 Road, Union Bank Block, and Gowon Estate.
Residents notified the Gowon Estate Police Division, but the shooters fled before patrol teams arrive, according to SP Speaking on behalf of the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the tragic shooting event.
He claims that the shooting occurred on Wednesday at around 11:35 p.m.
According to Hundeyin, the victims had been rushed to Igando Medical Hospital when the police arrived on the site.
“While at the scene of shooting, the police recovered nine espended cartridges and bunch of keys.
“At Igando General Hospital, one unknown male corpse was recovered and evacuated to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba for preservation and autopsy.
“Further information given to the police revealed that two male corpses were taken away by their families.
â€One male survivor, Doba Ngoze, is currently on admission at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba,†he said.
The representative stated that the situation was already under investigation.
