Gunmen kill two, abduct one in Lagos
Gunmen assaulted the Ikorodu region of Lagos State, killing at least two people and kidnapping a lady who has not yet been named.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the sad occurrence took place on Wednesday when the attackers broke into the Alagemo village of Igbelaara, off Ijede road in Ikorodu.
At least four vigilante group members were hurt during the incident, according to the authorities.
A man's voice could be heard in a video clip circulating on social media alerting people about the occurrence in his neighbourhood.
“Kidnapping is happening right now in Igbe-Alagemo. What is all this? They have kidnapped two people. They are in the bush, they are the ones shooting,†the voice said.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident on Thursday, saying “two persons died, four others were injured, and one woman was kidnappedâ€.
