Hakeem Muri-Okunola appointed Principal Secretary
Hakeem Muri-Okunola is now the principal secretary in President Bola Tinubu's office.
Up to his most recent position, Muri-Okunola headed the service in Lagos State.
Despite the fact that his appointment was kept a secret, it was learned that the new hire received his letter of appointment on Friday and is scheduled to begin in his official capacity on Monday, the day after President Tinubu would have left Abuja for New York, New York to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Justice Muritala Okunola's first son, Muri-Okunola, is 51 years old and has a law degree from Lagos State University (LASU) and a master's degree in international business law from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London. He was a renowned judge and is survived by his wife and two children.Â
The new Personal Secretary to the President, a seasoned public servant and technocrat, previously held the positions of Associate Solicitor at Adepetun, Caxton-Martins and Agbor, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser at Ibile Holdings Limited, Personal Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State, Executive Secretary, Land Use and Allocation Committee, and Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Public Service.
