Herdsman kill council chairman's son, 45 others in Benue
A horrific attack by suspected killer herdsmen on the Umogidi community in the Entekpa Adoka district of Benue State's Otukpo Local Government Area resulted in the deaths of several people.
The ugly incident that happened on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of 46 people, including the son of the Otukpo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Bako Eje.
Although the 46 corpses have been found, he claimed that more people may have died because of the attack's numerous victims who had serious injuries that may have killed them.
He said, “I can confirm to you that there was an attack in Umogidi and as of this morning, the casualty figure, from those who were seen physically from what I was told, was 46. But the figure may be higher because some people are still reported missing.â€
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the new incident occurred the day after the village was raided by daredevil terrorists on Tuesday, who killed three people.
Previous to that, the attackers attacked the Igbobi community on Monday in the state's neighbouring Apa Local Government Area.
