I lost 2 billion dollars in one day, and I'm still alive – Kanye West
Kanye Omari West, often known as Kanye West or Ye, is an American rapper and fashion designer who lost $2 billion in 24 hours as a result of firms cutting relations with him due to his anti-Semitic remarks.
This comes less than 48 hours after Forbes, an American business publication, said that Kanye was no longer included on its list of billionaires as a result of the termination of his lucrative contract with Adidas.
Balenciaga, MRC (the entertainment company shelved an almost completed Ye documentary), his talent agency CAA, Adidas, Jaylen Brown and Aaron Donald, Foot Locker, The RealReal, T.J. Maxx, and Madame Tussauds are among the companies that have so far severed their relations with Kanye.
The rapper responded to the loss by explaining in a post on Instagram that it's the people, not the money, that makes him who he is.
He wrote, â€I lost 2 billion dollars in one day, and I’m still alive. This is love speech, I still loves you; the money is not who I am, the people is who I am.â€
Additionally, Kanye's comments caused his school, Donda Academy, to be disqualified from a high school competition.
