I won't retire until I become president, Tinubu says
All Progressive Congress national leader and former Lagos state governor Bola Tinubu said Tuesday he would not retire from politics until he becomes Nigeria's president.
Speaking to delegates and party members in Makurdi, the Benue state capital, Tinubu said that although the future belongs to the youth and his generation will soon leave the stage, he will only retire after becoming president.
He said: "For you, the youth of Benue, be resolute and get your PVCs, validate them again, I am with you, Akume is with you, and others (leaders) who are not here are with you, to guarantee your posterity, hope, and a united and prosperous Nigeria.
The national leader of APC said that if he were given the mandate, he would turn the tide of the country where corruption would be fought on all fronts and the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians would be ensured.
