Ibrahim Galadima appointed as Acting Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has appointed Ibrahim Galadima as Acting Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club.
The appointment is effective immediately, the governor announced.
Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya, who ran the club, was fired from his job.
The appointment of Galadima, chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, to oversee Kano Pillars' activities is part of routine exercise in Ganduje's sports administration, this statement was said on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar.
"With Kano Pillars facing more competition in the National Premier League (NPL), it will be good to have a leadership that will run the club perfectly."
Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace current Kano Pillars FC Chairman Surajo Shu'aibu Yahaya.
"Galadima will serve in an acting capacity before the appointment of a substantive chairman," Ganduje asserted.
