Ifeanyi Ubah's Convoy Attack: Atiku says Nigeria has work to do to ensure safety and security

The presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has denounced the attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's convoy.

The former vice president sent his condolences to the families of those hurt and killed in the incident in a message on his Facebook page.

“I share my sympathy with the Distinguished Senator.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace.

“We’ve got work to do to ensure that safety and security return to our dear country”, Atiku posted.

According to reports, the legislator's convoy was attacked in Enugwu-Ukwu, a neighbourhood in Anambra State's Njikoka Local Government Area.

Although they acknowledged attacking Ubah's convoy, the police withheld information regarding the number of casualties.
