Ikeja Electric Plc's head of corporate communications, ingsley Okotie, has verified that a representative of the company is being treated at Gbagada General Hospital in Lagos following an electric shock.

In Lagos on Thursday, Mr. Okotie verified this.

He claimed that while performing repairs on a power pole in the state's Gbagada region, the official was electrocuted.

While apparently performing repairs on a power pole at Gbagada Bus Stop on Tuesday, the Ikeja Electric employee was rescued after receiving an electric shock.

As rescue efforts were conducted on the raised ladder, the tragedy caused concern among commuters and observers.

According to Mr. Okotie, the employee was saved and brought to the hospital for medical attention.

“He is receiving medical attention and recuperating now,” he said.
