Imo govt constructs new bus terminal on Onitsha road

To make traveling within the state easier, the Imo State Government has started building a brand-new bus terminal on Onitsha Road, across from Holy Ghost in Owerri.

Three state-of-the-art facilities, including this terminal, are planned for Owerri to greatly enhance travel both inside the state and to other locations.

Prince Eze Ugochukwu, the Special Advisor to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Public Enlightenment, released the following statement on Sunday:

“This is one of three modern terminals planned for Owerri, and it’s set to make traveling around the state and beyond a whole lot easier.”

According to him, Planet Projects Ltd. is building the terminals that Governor Hope Uzodimma had envisioned.

“These terminals will be a modern hub where people can catch buses comfortably to places like Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Enugu,” he explained.

He revealed that the business has constructed large terminals in Lagos, such as the Oshodi Interchange, with clever features like waiting lounges and simple ticketing.

“Right now, workers are busy laying foundations and putting up walls at the site. It’s still early, but things are moving along nicely. This terminal is one of three coming to Owerri, and residents are excited,” he added.
