Imo Police arrest two suspected drug dealers
Large amounts of weeds thought to be Indian hemp were found in the suspects' criminal hideout after the Imo State Police Command arrested two suspected drug dealers, Kelechi Ekeopra and John Aburodo.
On April 18, 2024, the anti-narcotics section of the command stormed many shanties and flashpoints in Ihiagwa, Owerri West Local Government Area, leading to the arrests.
A statement issued on Monday by Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson in the state said: “The Command will continue to clamp down on hard drug dealers and peddlers in Imo State.
“The suspects, Kelechi Ekeopra, and John Aburodo, are currently cooling their heels in police custody where a thorough investigation has been initiated to apprehend other suspects in the distribution chain.
“They will be arraigned in court upon completion of the ongoing investigation.”
