Innoson introduced gas-powered vehicles
Compressed natural gas (CNG) buses have been mass-produced by Nigeria's domestic automaker, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM).
This, according to the firm, offers Nigerians a good substitute for rising gasoline and diesel prices.
The company's plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, hosted the display of the CNG automobiles.
Trucks, minibuses, ambulances, long buses, SUVs, and a number of other types of vehicles are included.
Speaking at the unveiling, Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, Chief Executive Officer of IVM, informed Nigerians that CNG vehicles are safe and that a variety of cars are available.
“We manufacture according to demand, and we manufactured these buses because there is a demand for them now. during the covid-19 pandemic, we produced more ambulances, so we are on the ground and ready to produce
“cng vehicles bring a solution to total dependence on one or two kinds of vehicles.
“the cng vehicles are a solution, that’s why we produce them. we made space for cng, lng, and fuel so that anyone available in an area can be used to drive the vehicles. electric cars, biogas, and solar-powered vehicles are also produced in this factory.â€
In a similar vein, the governor of Anambra State, as represented by the state's commissioner for industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, declared that the state is preparing to address the problems that Nigerians are now suffering as a result of the elimination of subsidies
