Irele monarch, Ademola Idowu arrested for operating illegaly

The governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has that Ademola Idowu Oloworiyibi is detained and charged right away.

The governor claimed that Oloworiyibi's parading as the Olofun of Irele in the state's Irele Local Government Area made the arrest necessary.

No one has been approved or appointed as the Olofun of the Irele kingdom, according to the State Government.

The administration claimed that Oloworiyibi's operations were illegal and overbroad in a letter sent to the State's Commissioner of Police and signed by Chief Olugbenga Ale, the Governor's Chief of Staff.

The authorities additionally forewarned him that his actions would enrage the tranquil citizens of the famed town, with effects that are simpler to predict.

The State Government's position is that no one has been authorized or appointed as the Olofun of the Irele kingdom. As a result, Mr. Ademola Idowu Oloworiyibi's activities are not only excessive but also illegal and have the potential to stoke discontent among the peaceful residents of the ancient town, with consequences that are easier to foresee. The Ondo State Government has ordered Mr. Ademola Idowu Oloworiyibi's arrest and prosecution in light of the aforementioned factors, among others.
