JAMB to release 2024 UTME results
Plans to make the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination public have been finalised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
According to a notice sent to media in the nation's capital, JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede is set to host a press conference in Abuja on Monday to discuss the results and related topics.
On Sunday, Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Public Relations for the Board, made the notice available.
There are hints, nevertheless, that the results for those who took part in the UTME during the first few days will be announced on Monday, and the results for other applicants won't be made public until "due diligence" is finished.
The board had previously stated that it had decided to postpone the results' public distribution by a few days in order to provide careful examination more time.
The examination body claims that this step was taken to ensure the validity and integrity of the results, removing any room for question or uncertainty, particularly with regard to matters like impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other malpractices.
Over 1.9 million applicants registered for the 2024 UTME in the last week at more than 700 computer-based test locations around the country.
It is anticipated that the 2024 exam, which got underway on Friday, April 19, 2024, will end today.
