Jason Derulo accused of sexual harassment by aspiring female musician

An aspiring female musician who entered into a recording agreement with American singer Jason Derulo has filed a lawsuit against him. On Thursday, the accuser brought a sexual harassment case against the performer in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Jason and Emaza Gibson's working relationship, according to Emaza Gibson, terminated after she turned down his overtures.

The 25-year-old aspiring artist claims that in addition to breaking their contract, Jason also failed to give her the chance he had previously promised.

According to People Magazine, her attorney, Ron Zambrano said, "The threats of physical harm and unwanted sexual advances by Jason towards a young woman who is just trying to break into the industry were outrageous and illegal."

Jason has denied all allegations made against him via his rep. In a statement shared with People magazine, Jason's rep states, "These claims are completely false and hurtful. I stand against all forms of harassment and remain committed to supporting people chasing their dreams."

He continued by saying that the singer was extremely hurt by these false accusations.

According to the court documents that the tabloid was able to get, Emaza has also named in the complaint Atlantic Records, Derulo's label Future History Inc., and his manager Frank Harris.

The singer is being sued by Emaza Gibson for sexual harassment, contract breach, and unlawful retaliatory termination.
