Kachikwu wins as Moghalu loses ADC presidential election
Kingsley Moghalu, former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has lost the 2023 African Democratic Congress presidential card. This came as Roots Television founder Dumebi Kachikwu emerged as ADC's presidential nominee in the party's 2023 presidential primary in Abeokuta. He emerged victorious after defeating the likes of Moghalu, Chukwuka Monye and eight other competitors. Kachikwu, who is also the younger brother of Nigeria's former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Ibe Kachikwu, received 977 votes. Moghalu finished second with 589 votes while Monye finished third with 339 votes.
