Kaduna LP suspends three party members
Three of the Labour Party's card-carrying members who attended what the Kaduna State chapter of the party referred to as "the so-called NEC meeting" on May 3, 2023, in Bauchi, Bauchi State, have been suspended.
Bashir Idris Aliyu, Alhaji Ibrahim Sidi Bamali, and Engineer Michael Ayuba Auta are among those who have been suspended, and the decision to do so will be communicated to the National Working Committee of the Labour Party and other pertinent entities for further action.
Speaking to reporters in Kaduna on Saturday, the party's state public relations officer, Idris Yusuf, clarified that the party has split from the dubious and illegal section of the party led by Lamidi Apapa.
He said, “We hereby affirm and assert our loyalty, support and commitment to the National Working Committee of our great Party led by our lawfully recognised National Chairman, Barrister Julius Abure.â€
He urged the party's members and the general public to ignore any individual or group representing itself as a state official of the party outside of the properly elected and acknowledged state exco headed by Hon. Auwal Tafoki.
According to him, the Kaduna State Labour Party is dedicated to maintaining its unity and growing into the most potent political platform in both Nigeria and the state, one that will generate visionary and transformative leaders.
