Kaduna PDP launches a 60-member presidential campaign council

Prior to Atiku Abubakar's three-day visit, the Kaduna State chapter of the People's Democratic Party on Wednesday launched a 60-member presidential campaign council with Ramalan Yero serving as its chairman.

The State Party Chairman, Hassan Hyat, inaugurated the council members at the Party Secretariat and urged them to work hard to ensure the PDP's victory in 2023.

He claimed that with the presidential campaign well underway in Akwa Ibom State, the party in Kaduna was growing stronger.

As a result of Kaduna's peculiarities, Atiku would spend three working days there on special tasks, according to Hyat, where he would interact with important party figures from all three Senatorial Zones.

“We already had meetings with all the gubernatorial aspirants including the Gubernatorial Candidate in the State on their roles ahead of the Presidential candidate’s visit.

Whether or not their name was shortlisted, Hyat reassured party members that no one will be left behind and urged them to be available when needed.

In his remarks, the campaign council chairman, Ramalan Yero, thanked the party for placing its trust in him and all of the members, assuring them of their readiness to give their all to uphold Kaduna's honour.

“We’re not doing this for anybody but for ourselves. There is no time by our side. I have confidence that a lot of us have the experience to carry out the responsibility attached to us.

Before the general elections in 2023, he claimed that the campaign council was implementing a new strategy to guarantee strong support for the party's win both at the State and the National level.
