Kaduna priest shares 100 bags of rice to widows
As a noble act of giving back to the community, Rev. Fr. Clement Kagoma, a priest in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna, gave sacks of rice to 100 widows in the area.
Fr. Kagoma clarified that it is one's duty to share with those in need at Sunday's food distribution at St. Mulumba Catholic Church in Ungwa Bulus, Kaduna.
According to him, “God blesses us because he wants us to share with the poor, don’t think that what you have belongs to you, it is meant for you to share.
“If you say you have faith and no good work, it’s nothing. If you believe in Christ share and that is what am trying to do luckily it felt on my birthday.
“It is my birthday and instead of me to buy wine and do party for people to come and eat and drink. I felt I should buy food items and share with the widows, because people are dying of hunger”.
Thousands of orphans and widows in rural communities have benefited from the work of the cleric who founded the Fr. Kagoma Foundation for Women Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development.
“My foundation has been empowering women for a very long time especially orphans and widows, we give them skills and start up capitals. Last year we graduated over 500 young men and women from various skills, this year we enrolled about 500”.
The Christian preacher encouraged Nigerians to persevere despite the difficulties, promising that one day we shall emerge victorious.
