Kano court sentences Chinese man to death by hanging for killing ex-girlfriend
Frank Geng-Quangrong, a Chinese national, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Kano State High Court located at Miller Road in Kano metropolis for the 2022 murder of his former fiancée.
In a verdict on Tuesday, Justice Sanusi Ado-Ma'aji stated that the accused was found guilty of the crime, found guilty of the sentence, and sentenced to die by hanging till he passed away.
In September 2022, Geng-Quangrong was placed under arrest and placed on remand by the police on charges of culpable homicide for the murder of Ummukulsum Buhari, his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend, at her home in the Janbulo quarters in Kumbotso LGA of Kano State.
According to the prosecutor, the offence was in violation of Penal Code Law Section 221(b).
