Kano gov Abba Yusf sacks SSG, five commissioners
Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), was fired by Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf on Thursday, December 12.
Additionally, he eliminated the Chief of Staff position, which Alh. Shehu Wada Sagagi had previously held. The former SSG was "dropped on heath ground," according to the governor.
Additionally, the governor "dropped" five commissioners: Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information and Internal Affairs; Shehu Aliyu Yammedi, Special Duties; Abbas Sani Abbas, Rural and Community Development; Ibrahim Jibril Fagge, Finance Ministry; and Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, Culture and Tourism.
However, Yusuf instructed the Chief of Staff and the five commissioners who were dismissed to "report to the office of the governor for possible reassignment" in a statement released on Thursday by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature.
The governor declared that the cabinet reorganisation is effective immediately and that the state executive council reorganisation was intended to accomplish the realistic political realignment of his administration.
According to him, the choice will allow for peak performance, which will increase the benefits of democracy for Kano State's citizens.
