Katsina's new NYSC co-ordinator Alhaji Saidu resumes office
Alhaji Saidu Ibrahim has assumed his role as the new Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Katsina State.
This followed the former NYSC Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, retiring from active duty on Friday at the age of sixty, the legal retirement age for civil service.
At a brief transfer ceremony on Friday in Katsina, the new Coordinator asked employees to collaborate more and offer more assistance in order to achieve the state's goals for the program.
Ibrahim promised to uphold an open door policy and prioritise the wellbeing of employees and corps members.
“Katsina State is my second home, being that I had part of my secondary education in Katsina,” he said.
Aisha, the departing Coordinator, had earlier expressed gratitude to the Katsina State government for its assistance, which had led to the majority of the accomplishments noted during her term.
She praised the incoming coordinator as an experienced officer and urged all parties involved, including employees and corps members, to provide him with the assistance and collaboration he needs to complete the next responsibilities successfully.
