Kidnappers demand N700million after killing three out of 10 victims
Residents of Sagwari Layout Estate Dutse, Abuja are living in constant fear following the deaths of three of the ten people who were kidnapped from the area.
According to the DAILY POST, the audacious gunmen broke into the estate on January 7 with extremely advanced weaponry and kidnapped a minimum of ten people.
On Monday, there were reports that three out of the ten victims had been executed by the terrorists as a stern warning to their family who were negotiating a ransom payment.
Additionally, our correspondent learned that the attackers' demands, which were originally N60 million per individual, had been escalated to N100 million, or N700 million, as the sole need for their release.
More information was obtained indicating that the victims were purportedly murdered due to the 'delay' in paying the ransom that the kidnappers had first requested.
As of the time of publication, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT command's Police Public Relations Officer was not available for comment.
