Kogi court dismisses Ohinoyi of Ebiraland

Ahmed Anaje, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, was removed from office by a High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State.

In his decision on Monday, Justice Salisu Umar, the presiding judge of High Court 6, Lokoja, ordered the monarch to cease claiming to be the supreme traditional ruler of Ebiraland.

Although the court has not yet released the specifics of the ruling, our reporter has heard that the case concerns HCO/05C/2024, which was brought by Dr. Barnabas Adeku Ojiah and two other individuals against Usman Ododo, the governor of Kogi State.
