Kwara police arrest man over girlfriend's death during sex
A middle-aged man who owns a barbershop in Ilorin, the state capital, has been taken into custody by the Kwara State Police Command in connection with the death of a girl who was allegedly having sex on Monday.
The woman, who reportedly died after having a sexual altercation with her boyfriend in a guest house in Ilorin, was the subject of an ongoing investigation, according to the police who verified the incident on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Monday, according to the investigation, at a guest house in the Temidire neighbourhood of the Offa Garage neighbourhood of the city. It was initially reported that the middle-aged man, who is believed to own a barbershop, went for a relaxing evening with his girlfriend.
Members of the community also purported, in an unverified report, that the man was using drugs to impress his girlfriend before things went south.
“The girl was said to have got tired during the mating and later gave up the ghost.
“During the outing, the girl was said to have been tired and became unconscious. It was at this point that the lady became helpless and thereafter gave up the ghost.â€
The woman reportedly passed out, and the man reportedly called the alarm when she did, drawing attention from the guest house staff. It was reported that the woman was taken to a nearby hospital and later declared deceased.
Additionally, it was learned that the middle-aged man was taken into custody after the guest house owner reported the incident to the Police 'A' Division in Ilorin.
After confirming the incident, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that a thorough investigation had been launched by the police.
“The incident is true. The state police command has arrested the man involved while full investigations have commenced to know what actually happened between the man and the deceasedâ€.
