Lagos APC sets up committee to mobilize support
In order to mobilize support for the party ahead of the 2023 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State on Friday inaugurated its 110-member East Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Sen. Ganiyu Solomon, the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) for Lagos State, inaugurated the committee and stated that its purpose was to sway voters in favor of the party's presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as well as Sen. Kashim Shettima, who is Tinubu's running mate.
Solomon thanked the party's leaders for their dedication and tenacity and announced that Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, an ex-state commissioner, would lead the district's campaign as the Deputy Director General (DDG).
The DG added that the PCC would also establish the same committee in other senatorial districts. He stated that the committee's members' sole responsibility was to oversee the party's general elections in the district in 2023.
“This is a historical moment and I consider it a great privilege to inaugurate this campaign committee.
“The senatorial campaign committee is constituted with the conscious determination to ensure inclusiveness and excellence and it is expected to conduct a campaign based on our modest achievements to elect our leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and reelect our amiable Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
