Lagos kicks off demolition of shanties around Apogbon bridge

Squatters' unlawful shanties under the Elegbata Bridge in Apongbon are being demolished by the Lagos State Government.

The operation was publicised on X.com on Sunday by Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources Tokunbo Wahab.

These cleanup initiatives are a component of a broader strategy to uphold public safety, cleanliness, and order in Lagos.

He stated, “Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (#LAGESCOfficial) have dislodged illegal squatters under the Elegbata Bridge by Apongbon.”
