Lagos motorcyclist who stabbed guard to death on the run
After allegedly slashing security guard Yusuf Akadogo to death on Igbira Road in the Idiaraba neighbourhood of Lagos State, biker Ibrahim Dauda has gone missing.
According to information obtained by PUNCH Metro on Tuesday, Dauda was travelling by motorbike when a small collision happened on June 13, 2024, at around 9:20 p.m.
There was a dispute in the town that drew attention after the accident, according to reports. According to a source who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation, Akadogo broke up the argument and added that Dauda had stabbed him.
In an attempt to save Akadogo, those who witnessed the incident hurried him to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital for treatment, the source continued, explaining that Dauda left the scene after recognising the effect of his attack on the victim.
But according to the source, the guard passed away while getting medical attention in the hospital.
The source said, “The incident happened on June 13, 2024, around 9.20 pm. What happened was that a minor accident involving a motorcycle happened and after the accident, there was an argument.
“During the argument, the security guard intervened and the motorcyclist stabbed him in the stomach. The guard was quickly rushed to LUTH for treatment but he died while receiving treatment in the hospital.”
Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the occurrence and stated that the command had been pursuing the suspect connected to Akadogo's demise.
