Lagos police arrest man for assaulting officer
Akinyemi Akintayo, 39, has been taken into custody and charged by men of the Lagos State Police Command for attacking police officers in December.
The Lagos state public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed this in a statement posted on his X account on Monday.
He said, “After weeks on the run, Akinyemi Akintayo aged 39yrs of Ayobo has been arrested and arraigned for his serious assault on police officers on December 8, 2023.â€
According to PUNCH, a man who slapped a police officer in 2020 was charged by the Lagos State Police Command in court.
