Lagos police arrest suspected cultists at hotel
On Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Command detained 11 alleged cultists at a hotel in the state's Agege district.
Men from the Rapid Response Squad made the arrest while they were out on patrol in the wee hours of the morning.
The suspects were allegedly involved in a violent altercation at the hotel as members of opposing cult organizations, according to a statement on the RRS Twitter feed.
According to reports, during the altercation, four alleged cultists were "viciously hurt" by broken bottles.
According to the order of the RRS Commander, Olayinka Egbeyemi, the suspects were then moved to Oko Oba, Agege Police Division.
“Four of them were viciously injured with broken bottles during the fight.
“They have been transferred to Oko Oba, Agege Police Division, in line with the directive of our Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi.â€
