Lagos police arrest three suspected vandals, recover items
In the state's Tom Jones neighbourhood, members of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Police Command in Lagos State have detained three alleged vandals and seized a minibus, two carts, and bridge railings.
The arrest was verified in a statement released on Tuesday in Lagos by the command's spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
He claimed that on Saturday at 2:45 pm, while conducting a normal patrol of the area, RRS agents detained the suspects.
“The suspects fled and abandoned a Suzuki minibus popularly called ‘Korope’ with registration number BDG 315 YA upon sighting the police.
“Also left behind by the suspected vandals were two carts, bars of aluminium railings suspected to have been cut from the Third Mainland Bridge, a hammer and a hand saw,†he said.
The arrests, according to the creator of the photograph, follow other recent and related ones that the CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi-led RRS operatives made.
He claimed that the suspects had received court charges.
