Land grabbers kill bricklayer, take body away
Mrs. Joke Kolapo, a mother of three, has described how her husband Sodiq, a bricklayer in Ibeju-Lekki, Epe division of Lagos State, was shot and killed by a group purportedly working for a renowned land grabber known as Ibile.
She made her remarks at a press conference on Tuesday in Lagos, when activists beseeched governments and law enforcement to stop land grabbers' operations throughout Lagos State under the auspices of Human Rights Activists, a platform of Human Rights Action Watch.
Speaking at the press conference, Kolapo said that her husband was attacked at a local construction site by land grabbers, and that the attackers also removed his body.
The distraught mother of three revealed that since her husband's death, things had been hard for her and her kids.
