After graduating from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and receiving her appointment as a Sub Lieutenant in 2016, her incredible journey officially began. Later, she was assigned to the Nigerian Navy Ship Unity.
According to NAN, Maigari received the "Pilot Wing" medal on Friday at the Naval Training Command Headquarters, HQ NAVTRAC in Ebube-Eleme, Rivers, at the 2024 NN Ceremonial Sunset.
Maigari stated that she met all the prerequisites and finished her basic pilot training before reaching the milestone.
“I grew up in a military environment as my father was an officer in the Nigerian Air Force.
“From an early age, I aspired to become a military pilot and when the opportunity to join the navy arose, I did not hesitate.’’
