Mother of three kids killed by Drunk driver shares her advise
Leila and Danny Abdallah lost three of their children - Sienna, 8, Angelina, 12, and Antony, 13, in February 2020 - after the driver, who was on drugs, ran over and killed them. Their niece Veronique Sakr, 11, also died in the crash and the couple's then only remaining daughter, Liana, suffered a head injury.
The Abdallahs also had two boys, Alex and Michael, and two months ago, on March 18, another daughter, Selina, was born. Although she has lost three children, Ms Abdallah, 37, when asked how many children she has, always says seven. I was always prepared for that question," Leila told News Corp. "When someone asks me how many children I have, I just answer that I have seven children. "If people keep asking, I'll say I have three in heaven and four here, then people will realize who I am." Ms Abdallah named her new baby Selina because it is a mix of the names of her girls Sienna and Angelina, who died in the crash, and their daughter Liana, who survived. She and her husband, 44, receive many calls and messages from people who have lost loved ones, asking how they are coping with the tremendous grief. Her strong advice is to focus on what you have left. In the case of the Abdallah, these are her four surviving children, never forgetting the three who are in heaven.
The driver who killed her children and niece, Samuel Davidson, has been sentenced to 28 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole until 2041.
