Naira gains against dollar at foreign exchange market
At the end of business on Thursday, the naira gained value in relation to the dollar on the foreign exchange market.
According to FMDQ statistics, the value of the naira increased from N1,687.52 to N1,658.57 per dollar on Wednesday to N1,658.57 on Thursday. In relation to the dollar, this is a gain of N28.95.
On the black market, the naira dropped from its N1,750 exchange rate the day before to N1,755 per dollar on Thursday.
This occurs as the turnover of foreign exchange transactions fell from $173.29 million on Wednesday to $163.66 million at the end of Thursday.
