Following the Eid-el-Fitr holidays, the naira continued to gain value versus the dollar on Wednesday at the official foreign exchange market.  

According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the value of the naira increased from N1,536.82 per dollar last Friday to N1,531.25 on Wednesday.  

This indicates a daily gain of N5.57 per dollar for the naira.  On the illicit market, the value of the naira dropped from N1,550 on Friday before the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations to N1,555 on Wednesday.
