Naira rises to N1,382 per dollar in parallel market
In the parallel market, the Naira increased to N1,382 per dollar yesterday from N1,391 on Wednesday. On the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, or NFEM, the naira fell to N1,361 for every dollar.
The indicative exchange rate for the naira increased to N1,361 per dollar from N1,359.5 per dollar on Wednesday, indicating a N1.5 depreciation, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, or CBN.
As a result, the difference between the official and parallel markets shrank from N31.5 per dollar on Wednesday to N21 per dollar.
