NDLEA arrests female drug trafficker, others in Abia
In collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Office of Abia State Governor on Homeland Security raided well-known hard drug hotspots in Umuahia, the state capital.
A female drug trafficker known only as Adaobi Nweke was captured during the raid.
Ikechukwu Emetu, the state's deputy governor, informed reporters of the raids' results and stated that the state administration is committed to purging the state of all illegal activity.
He declared that all gangs and criminals in the state would be eliminated by the state administration.
Emetu said, “Drugs happen to be the bedrock of all criminal activities that can be done by any group of people.
"Abia isn’t a safe haven for any criminal. The directive of the governor of Abia State is very clear: stay away from Abia State. We don’t need you. You are not part of Abia State.â€
