NDLEA arrests Pretty Mike, 100 others during Lagos nightclub raid
During a midnight search at Proxy Night Club, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) detained Lagos socialite Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, also known as Pretty Mike, and more than 100 patrons for what the agency called a "drug party."
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the NDLEA announced this in a statement that was signed by Femi Babafemi, its Director of Media and Advocacy.
“In Lagos, NDLEA operatives in the early hours of Sunday, 26th October, raided Proxy Night Club at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, where a drug party was going on. Over 100 suspects, including the owner of the club, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, alias Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening.
“Cartons of illicit substances, including Loud and laughing gas, were recovered from suspects at the party and the club’s store,” the agency stated.
The agency claims that intelligence regarding a drug party occurring at the club, which is situated at 7 Akin Adesola Street on Victoria Island, prompted the raid. Around 3 a.m. on Sunday, the party was interrupted by agents who had been present since 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.
According to the NDLEA, the operation was conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all those detained are presently undergoing screening to ascertain their degree of involvement.
